Account verification

We may ask you for extra information to confirm that the person using the account is the legitimate account holder and that Steam sign-in was authorized.

Age

MarketSkins is available only to users who are at least 14 years old.

Irreversibility after Steam transfer

Once items have been successfully transferred inside the Steam ecosystem as part of a deal, you cannot cancel that deal at any stage on your own.

Currency and display

Balances and skin valuations are stored in USD. Choose RUB in the interface to see amounts converted at current rates for convenience.

Using your balance

Money you earn from selling skins may be used to buy other skins on MarketSkins or withdrawn to bank cards / fast payment systems where supported.

Funds you add directly to your on-site balance may be used only to purchase skins on the MarketSkins marketplace. Such top-ups cannot be withdrawn to external accounts or transferred to third parties.

Bank payout timing

Credits to bank cards may take up to three business days depending on your bank. MarketSkins does not control processing timelines on the bank side.

Incorrect payout details

We are not liable if you enter wrong payment credentials. If a payout fails for that reason, support may help you correct the details for a new attempt.

Payout speed and provider outages

Typical payout time is up to five minutes and is often faster. If a payment gateway has an incident, payouts resume as soon as the issue is cleared—in the vast majority of cases within 24 hours.

Support may offer an alternative payout method or credit funds back to your MarketSkins balance so you can buy skins on the market.

Compromised Steam accounts

We cannot guarantee that the person signed in through Steam is always the true owner. If an account is compromised and items are sold, MarketSkins does not bear responsibility for that scenario. We recommend contacting law enforcement with information about where funds were sent.

Stolen Steam Web API key

If your Steam Web API key was stolen and fraudsters used it to manipulate trade offers, MarketSkins cannot remedy the situation on your behalf.

Items from stolen accounts

We monitor activity linked to items originating from stolen accounts. If such a case is detected, payouts may be cancelled or held until related restrictions are lifted.

If MarketSkins's own Steam account is restricted because of those items, the payout for the affected deal will not be made.
